how about NIMBY? Not in my backyard- and I agree with you, lots of acronyms can be pretty obscure, and even more are probably just used out of habit. Such as lol- often times I find myself using 'lol' in a conversation when I just don't know what else to say. But anyway, great blog Mary! (This is definitely becoming a new Pd 5 tradition... blogs!
